I remember the thrill of encountering Riddley Walker, but am afraid some concessions are in order for YA readers. Will Weaverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15539982840467396030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345062906418153155.post-24433748746498147112012-09-04T08:25:03.790-07:002012-09-04T08:25:03.790-07:00Thanks for the input. Maybe a sentence or two of that first version could be fun, but the beauty of the lines came through so much more in the rewritten passage, because I could focus on the flow of your words rather than just trying to make out what the words were. Of course, I do want you to have some fun when you write, too! But speaking as a long-time fan of your work, that initial sample would not be fun for me to read.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7345062906418153155.post-84403959433969689942012-09-01T14:45:10.933-07:002012-09-01T14:45:10.933-07:00I think that's a BEAUTIFULLY written passage!I think that's a BEAUTIFULLY written passage!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14672313586938241051noreply@blogger.com
